Mutate

Generates randomized variations of MIDI clips, mutating velocity, timing, duration, probability, and notes via a dialog, with quick actions such as randomize-velocity and swap-notes. Variations can be written to new take lanes so the original clip is preserved.

Install in Live

  1. Download the .ablx file from the author's page above.
  2. In Live, open Settings → Extensions (requires Live 12 Suite, beta 12.4.5+).
  3. Drag the .ablx file into the Extensions panel.
  4. Right-click the relevant item in your Set — the extension appears in the context menu.

Extensions run once per trigger and edit your Set's structure. Only install from authors you trust — more in the guide.
